Brisbane Festival is back up and running for another year of creative celebration, circling the whole month of September to do so. This year, organisers have gone well and truly above and beyond the call of duty with their first lineup announcement, unveiling some of the best on offer from here and around the world.

Some of the amazing feats achieved for 2016 include Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon, the recently reunited George performing for one-night only and formative Aussie rockers Custard. The unstoppable Montaigne will also be performing as well as Dappled Cities. Kilo Kish will be heading down from the US with countrymen Pink Martini.

Brisbane festival artistic director David Berthold says of this year’s festival:

“I’m really happy with our contemporary music program this year; some completely legendary names alongside some new artists who are really starting to make it big now, and, of course, to see these acts in the intimacy and fun of the Spiegeltent is just perfect.”

Tickets are available now with plenty of accom options available. You can marvel at the entire line up at the events official website.
